Monteverde Coffee Tour & Hanging Bridges start early departing from Guanacaste, you will pass by the cities of Liberia and Bagaces before turning with direction to Tilaran, one of the windiest cities in Guanacaste and Costa Rica. From this point we will drive for about 1.5 hours by the grave road.
At your arrival you will visit the Monteverde Hanging Bridges that will take you to a complex that use suspension bridges for a more tranquil introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest canopy, constructed within the cloud forest.
It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective which starts with a walk on the ground taking you up to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat, called the “canopy” with a naturalist guide.
Monteverde Hanging Bridges span canyons and drainage’s and bring visitors face to face with the upper level of the forest canopy. There are five bridges in total, the longest of which spans around 984 feet.
The trails extend for slightly over a mile and a half (2.5 km), making this tour extremely feasible for anyone in moderate shape.
The climb is not strenuous or muddy, as the trails are well maintained and generally very flat. Local guides accompany each tour and help visitors learn about native plant and animal species.
