Witch’s Rock Surf Trips (Roca Bruja) depart from Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, every day if we have good weather and surfing conditions in the area. Our boat El Corso, is a Boston Whaler 28ft, with twin 225 Yamaha, toilet, and freshwater shower. The ride to the Santa Rosa National Park where Roca Bruja is located takes around 45 minutes. Once at Witch’s Rock, you will enjoy some of the best world-class waves the spot offers.
Witch’s Rock Surf Trips takes you to enjoy its left and right breaks with a sandy bottom; best surfed at mid/high tide and has offshore winds from December through March but with excellent swells during the year. Witch’s Rock is not a beginner’s surf trip. Access to Witches Rock is only by boat as the road from the Santa Rosa National Park is closed to the public.
Witch’s Rock is located right in front of Playa Naranjo at Santa Rosa National Park which besides offers you a world-class surf spot that protects the oldest tropical dry forest in Costa Rica. As well as Playa Naranjo and Nancite are two of the most important beaches for olive ridley turtles in the world. Certainly, this is the dream spot for many surfers around the world, its waves, its natural beauty, the rock, the landscapes, everything in Witch’s Rock is magic. We also offer you Ollie’s Point; is best surfed at low/mid tide and has a sandy, reef bottom for all types of surfers. Ollie’s Point is one of the most northern points on the west coast of Costa Rica with a world-class break. Witch’s Rock Surf Trips departs early morning from Playas del Coco. If you are in Tamarindo, Flamingo, Playa Grande, or some other location you must be at 7:00 am at Playas del Coco.

Witch’s Rock Surf Trips Cancellation Policy
- Tours reserved less than 48 hours before departure must be paid immediately.
- Cancelations made 72 hours before the tour are 100% refundable, and bank fees apply.
- Cancelations between 72 and 48 hours are 50% refundable. Bank fees apply.
- Cancelations made within 48- 24 hours or less are not refundable.
- Non-Shows and last-minute cancellations are not refundable.
- Change of date must be done at least 48 hours before the tour, during office hours (8 am-5 pm). Penalties apply. Subject to availability.
- We do not accept guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refund will apply.
- Driver and Tour Guide Tips are not included.
- If for some natural disaster, or human manifestation we have to cancel the tour, this will be rescheduled for a day of your convenience, or we will make the pertinent money refund. Guests’ safety is a priority for us.
- We are not responsible for any luggage or personal valuables lost or damaged during the tour. Please take care of your belongings along the tour.
- During peak season all tours and services must be pre-paid in full at the moment of your reservation.
- No refund applies for cancelations during this time, the only valid reason to apply for a refund will be a medical condition and we will need medical proof such as a positive test, quarantine place, or a formal Doctor’s letter.
