Guanacaste Coffee Tour

Our Guanacaste Coffee Tour starts early morning driving south to the Peninsula de Nicoya. En route, we will pass by the colonial towns of Santa Cruz and Nicoya, which we will visit later. Our drive takes you to Hojancha where the Coffee Tour Plantations are located, to start the tour they will show in a typical Chorotegas house some of the legacies of our Pre-Columbian native people.

Next you will enjoy the amazing process of the coffee plants and beans, from the ground to your mouth. Discover the drying process, the roasting and grounding, the water treatment, and natural compost, and of course, enjoy a delicious cup of coffee with some delicious traditional snacks.

After the Guanacaste Coffee Tour, you will visit some of the most representative, ancient, and folkloric cities of Colonial Costa Rica, Santa Cruz, and Nicoya. In Santa Cruz, the national folkloric city and the land of the Chorotegas Aborigines, you will visit the amazing church tower built in 1822 and the central park and its representative sculptures of the Guanacaste lifestyle. This city is also well renowned because of the big typical festivities and rodeos.

Guanacaste Coffee Tour’s next stop is the Colonial city of Costa Rica, Nicoya, here you visit the ancient Temple of San Blas constructed in 1644. Nicoya is also one of the cities that decided in 1824 by their own self-annex to Costa Rica. Guanacaste Coffee Tour is a great excursion to learn about our history, culture, and gastronomy. As well as to discover the importance of the coffee plantations in the development of the country during the last century and their importance now.

Our Guanacaste Coffee Tour offers you private transportation, this way we can offer you a customized experience, and at the same time, we care about your safety.  This way we give you the opportunity to change itineraries (if possible), make stops along the way, and enjoy the day at your own pace, without a rush.
