Guanacaste Adventure Combo, Rafting, Zip Lines And Rappel

Guanacaste Adventure Combo takes you into an amazing experience near the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano in Guanacaste. Enjoy the Colorado River Rafting, take the Zip Lines, and finish with the Rappel adventure. This is the perfect tour for families with small kids as they are allowed to enjoy all the activities. Guanacaste Adventure Combo is a fun trip that can be joined in a half-day expedition.

River Rafting

You will be driven for about 10 minutes from the operation center in a van to the river bank where the tour starts. Guanacaste Adventure Combo takes along 3 kilometers (1.864 miles) of pure adrenaline and fun. Enjoy the white–water rafting class II and III which takes approximately a 90-minutes long ride. You will enjoy an amazing experience along the canyon of the Colorado River. We use the safest equipment, helmets, and life vests. We offer I and II class rafting depending on the weather conditions in the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano mountains.

Zip Lines Tour

Guanacaste Adventure Combo later takes you to enjoy the Zip Lines Tour, which will take you through the tropical dry forest. The views of the river and the landscapes are unique. When walking by the footpaths, you can observe the existing biodiversity from the ground to the lower canopy. Also when traversing by the top of the trees and stopping on the platforms all life forms can be observed and only can be seen by being in the superior canopy.

Guanacaste Adventure Combo zip line tour is mixed with footpaths, observation platforms, and hanging bridges to obtain a unique experience. Constructed with the best materials there are 9 lines and 14 platforms crossing 8 times the Colorado River with a total length of 1106 meters.

Guanacaste Nature Safari

Guanacaste Nature Safari takes you to visit Las Pumas Rescue Center, Llanos del Cortes Waterfalls, and the Sloths Garden. This is a great natural experience to discover many of the Guanacaste’s nature and wildlife.

Guanacaste Nature Safari starts early in the morning, you will visit Los Llanos del Cortes, a 35 ft high and 45 ft wide waterfall with an incredible natural pool. Enjoy and relax in the middle of nature and refresh your day. Later we drive you to the city of Cañas where you will visit the Animal Refuge Center. There you can observe rescued animals like monkeys, jaguars, pumas, ocelots, macaws, toucans, and other species.

Your expedition drives you later to the town of Bijagua, located near the Tenorio Volcano National Park. Here we will take you to the private rainforest garden where you will walk through the easy trails. You will observe a great number of two and three toes sloths in their natural habitat. As well as red-eye and blue jeans frogs, birds, toucans, mot-mots, woodpeckers, and others. As part of the experience, we will visit a butterfly garden as well.

Guanacaste Nature Safari gives you the opportunity to discover, and understand the importance of the natural treasures of the province and the country. It is a great chance to observe many of our wildlife, enjoy a nice waterfall and make a little hike through the rainforest.

Another option is to take a one-hour ride on the kayaks and visit two amazing waterfalls along the ride.

Also at Ponderosa Adventure Park, you can take the Animal Safari where you will see giraffes, zebras, ostriches, Ethiopian cattle, deer, and wildebeest among others, here you will also be able to feed some of the animals. You can also take horseback riding to the waterfalls traveling through the forest for one hour.
