Monteverde Adventure Tour From Guanacaste takes you to enjoy the Hanging Bridges, Aerial Tram, and the most exciting Zip Lines. Discover the Monteverde Cloud Forest, its flora, fauna, and amazing landscapes from a different point of view.

Begin this expedition with the Monteverde Hanging Bridges which give you the opportunity to enjoy the flora and fauna of the area. The hike takes around 2.5 hours and the bridges have been adapted for people with some disabilities. The tour combines trails and suspension bridges with lengths of 984 feet and heights above the canopy of Monteverde Cloud Forest.

Monteverde Adventure Tour takes you later to the Monteverde Zip Lines, once you receive the introduction and safety equipment we will head to the Aerial Tram. This is a cable-way that includes a ride of 1600 meters (both ways) with altitudes between 1400 and 1600 m.a.s.l. The Aerial Tram will lead you up to the Continental Divide and one of Monteverde’s highest mountains. During the ride, you can observe the cloud forest biodiversity, the Arenal, Tenorio, Miravalles, and Orosi volcanoes. Also, you will observe the Nicoya Gulf and the Guanacaste flat lands if weather permits. The gondolas have been adapted for people with some disabilities.

Once 0n top get ready for the Ziplines that will take you from mountain to mountain, with a total distance of 2.5 miles. Monteverde Adventure Tour gives you the opportunity to fly via cable and have a unique experience of adventure and adrenaline at speeds up to 40 miles per hour. With distances ranging up to 2500 feet and heights of 524 feet as well the tour offers 5 observation towers above the cloud forest treetops providing a panoramic view.

Tours reserved less than 48 hours before departure must be paid immediately.
Cancelations made 72 hours before the tour are 100% refundable, and bank fees apply.
Cancelations between 72 – 48 hours are 50% refundable. Bank fees apply.
Cancelations made within 48- 24 hours or less are not refundable.
Non-Shows and last-minute cancellations are not refundable.
Change of date must be done 48 hours before the tour, during office hours (8 am-5 pm). Penalties apply. Subject to availability.
We do not accept guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refund will apply.
Driver and Tour Guide Tips are not included.
If for some natural disaster, or human manifestation we have to cancel the tour, this will be rescheduled for a day of your convenience, or we will make the pertinent money refund. Guests’ safety is a priority for us.

Monteverde Discovery Tour from Guanacaste starts early morning. We will drive by the cities of Liberia and Bagaces before turning direction to Tilaran, one of the windiest towns in Costa Rica. From this point, we will drive for about 60 minutes on the gravel road.

Monteverde Hanging Bridges

Monteverde Discovery Tour takes you to visit the Monteverde Hanging Bridges. Here you will have a tranquil introduction to the flora and fauna of the forest canopy. It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective. You start with a walk on the ground taking you up to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat, called the “canopy”.

Monteverde Hanging Bridges enjoy a total of five bridges, the longest of which spans around 984 feet. The trails extend for slightly over a mile and a half (2.5 km), making this tour extremely feasible for anyone in moderate shape. The climb is not strenuous or muddy, as the trails are well maintained and generally very flat. Your guide will help you learn about native plant and animal species.

Monteverde Coffee Tour

Monteverde Discovery Tour takes you to the coffee fields where you will learn everything about coffee. From the ways that the coffee cherries are picked and the lifestyle of the workers that carry out this task to the full process. When the coffee cherries are ready to be picked (from November through to February) this activity can be performed by the visitors.

At the Monteverde Coffee Tour will see the way the pulp of the coffee cherry was traditionally removed. As well, as the washing process of the mucilage that is found underneath the pulp and the separation of the first-class coffee beans from the rest. You will have the option to take a ride in a typical ox cart experiencing the exact way our ancestors used to travel.

At the main building, you will get the opportunity to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee accompanied by a typical snack. But the Monteverde Coffee Tour is only one part of the trip, you will also learn about chocolate and sugar cane. A full explanation from the seed to the production will be given in the same place
